Arthur Lebowitz M.D.
New York City native Dr. Arthur Lebowitz is a board-certified internist who has been recognized by the Castle Connolly guide as one of the best internists in New York and the rest of the country. His strengths include diagnosing and managing difficult and complex problems. He has a particular interest in cardiovascular diseases, complex lipid management, and women’s health issues including osteoporosis. Because of his training in infectious diseases and immunology, he has an ongoing interest in immunizations as tools for disease prevention.
Dr. Lebowitz is also an active faculty member of the NYU School of Medicine, currently serving as an assistant professor of clinical medicine. In addition, he has served on numerous committees of the Medical Board and chaired the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for 12 years.
Dr. Lebowitz attended Columbia College where he was active in the concert and marching bands, serving as concertmaster for two years. He then attended NYU Medical School and started his postgraduate training at the University of North Carolina. He returned to NYU Medical School to complete his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in immunology and infectious diseases.
Starting in January 2008, Dr. Lebowitz established Manhattan Private Health Advantage, a division of the Concorde Medical Group.
